Ideal for a holiday at any time of year
Our house is located above the village of Seis, in the direction of Kastelruth (each is about 1.5 km away) at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea level. It stands in the midst of meadows, close to the forest, with a direct view of Seis, the surrounding area and the Schlern massif. The apartments are suitable for 2-4 people: each has a kitchenette and, depending on requirements, one to two bedrooms with separate bathrooms and a balcony.
A holiday with us is a delight at any time of year. In spring you can go hiking in the mountains and see the snow melting. Summer is especially lovely, as you can enjoy activities starting from the lower slopes up to the high Alpine regions: the possibilities are almost endless, with hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing, swimming (the public outdoor pool is just a 10-minute walk away), mountain biking, e-biking, Nordic walking and much more besides. There are even riding stables nearby. Also worth investigating is the wide range of cultural attractions: classical concerts by the local music bands, exhibitions, not to mention themed walks encompassing mills, herbs and torchlit hikes. Sometimes you may simply wish to listen from the balcony to one of the regular performances by the local bands. Autumn is ideal for long hikes, offering mostly clear visibility over the Alpine peaks, while a jolly evening’s törggelen – sampling the new wine with roast chestnuts – is also a must. Winter too has something for everyone, with downhill skiing, cross-country skiing (there are over 50 km of cross-country trails) and snowboarding, not to mention snowshoeing, tobogganing and ski touring. The local Alpine pasture can also be explored in comfort on a horse-drawn sleigh.
There is good access to public transport: some 400 metres away is the stop for the shuttle bus (running at 15-minute intervals) to the Seiser Alm ropeway, to Kastelruth, Seis and Völs. There are also regular buses connecting to the cities of Bozen and Brixen, as well as to the nearby Gröden Valley (every 30 minutes). The Guest Card allows use of all public transport free of charge.
